West Coast Salsa Congress
This past Saturday I ventured to the Radisson by LAX for this year’s edition of the West Coast Salsa Congress. I started the day off at the pool party, which did not have the level of participation I was expecting. However, I was there with a few friends which is more than I need
I had to leave to perform at a birthday party in Monterey Park with my troupe. We returned just in time to get tickets for the night session as the event was oversold by 9:30 pm. The room showing the performances was already filled to capacity by the time we got there so I did not get to see the performances. I did manage to sneak in eventually and I got to see a few including the teens from Colombia and the Los Romberos routine. There was an adjacent hall open for dancing so that was where I spent most of the night. DJ Saoco played a set so I did manage to do a Rueda (thanks William). Despite the fact that the we spent the night dancing in saunas (the rooms were so hot and humid due to the overcrowding and poor ventilation), I had a lot of fun for there were a lot great dances to be had. Also with all the professionals in the house I spent a significant portion of the night just watching them social dance with each other.

cuuuuute pictures. =D i had a ton of fun!! thanks for making my first west coast congress a fun one, even if you hate salsa.
