Salsa @ Erotica L.A.?

Thanks to the folks at LearnSalsa.com, I think I have my justification for mentioning my attendance at Erotica LA on Saturday. Not only did they have a dance floor set up at the convention where patrons could dance, they were also holding classes in the middle of the convention. I also found out afterward that LearnSalsa.com was also a featured sponsor of the event. Apparently there was even a salsa performance on the main stage on Friday. So there I was in the middle of one of the largest erotic-themed expos in the nation dancing salsa. I will admit I didn’t spend a lot of time dancing but I did dance :). I had never attended one of these expos so I was curious to attend one. I almost missed this chance due to the fact I has plans to go to the Kanye West concert on Saturday night. I did not know what to expect (and definitely did not expect salsa to be there). I did enjoy the expo though. It was very interesting the see the wide array of toys that are available on the market these days. Even more interesting was the fact that supposedly humanitarian charities were using half-naked girls dancing on poles to solicit donations for their causes. There were stage performances, a fashion show, seminars and even a tattoo contest (see videos below). Apart from the expected assortment of toys, lingerie and porn, there were a lot of non-erotic exhibitors on display as well. My favorite exhibitor of the day was the company that would build your own private fantasy room in your house. We spent almost five hours looking at all the exhibits and I even found the event educational as well. One thing I learned on Saturday was that it is very possible for ladies to dance salsa in “stripper heels”.
