Jamaican Salsero in L.A.

Today is the birthday of one the sweetest, nicest and most genuine persons I know in the salsa community. Christina Haggerty is one of the more well-known and well-loved salsa instructors in the LA area. Christina and her partner/instructor, Mike Ticas, are also longtime members of Rueda in the Park. Last night, Christina celebrated her birthday at La Bella’s, the banquet hall adjacent to Silhouette’s in Burbank. There was a special guest performance by Tropical Rhythm featuring Luis Aguilar(video is below). There was also a belly dance performance by Anna Celestria. The night was capped off by Mike Ticas doing a belly dance/striptease number which I am still too traumatized by to post the video :). Happy Birthday Christina!!
